Have stayed in the Johnstown on a few occasions over the past few years and it never disappoints. Hotel is always clean, staff are super friendly and always go above and beyond, finally the food is always top quality. Never had a complaint and will continue to return here for relaxing stays.

It was our first night out since the lock-down, and I must say this hotel has got it right, other hotels can learn a lot from them! Very friendly welcome at Reception (with screens) , sanitizing stations at every turn, number of people managed so no issues with social distancing, all menus and information on a QR code which is a great idea, bedroom spotlessly clean and food fantastic. Thank you Johnstown Estate Team, cant wait to go back!

From the incredibly helpful and friendly staff, to the immaculately clean rooms and facilities, the stunning gardens and walks on the grounds, it is a fantastic location for both families and couples! I got spa treatments done by a lady called Rhamonda, and I could not speak more highly of her. She provided such a professional and wonderful experience for me. I will be forever recommending this hotel to people for we had nothing short of a bliss and amazing experience there!

We went on a two night "Staycation" feeling slightly anxious due to the Covid Pandemic. However, we needn't have worried as, from the moment we walked in the measures they have taken reassured us. From a temperature reading camera at reception to having to prebook breakfast, dinner, afternoon tea and use of the swimming pool to ensure there was no queueing or overcrowding all made us feel very safe. Everything about this Hotel was first class from the comfortable room with large ensuite, the excellent food and friendly and efficient staff. The gentleman at reception was most helpful in recommending nearby places of interest to visit . We went to Trim Castle and, slightly further a field, Fore Abbey both of which were amazing and well worth the effort. Unfortunately, due to bad weather we only managed to explore the Fairy Garden part of the large gardens attached to the Hotel. We will be back.
